    Title: The structural phase transition of the cubic to tetragonal superconductor due to a three-fold degenerate electronic band

    Abstract: The Phase Transition between the cubic superconductors and the tetragonal superconductors for intermetalic compounds induced by the degenerate d electrons in the T2g-band is discussed. The critical temperature TM is calculated by using the BCS mean field theory. It is found that TM increases as the energy gap A decreases and that TM attains its maximum value for gapless superconductors.
