    Abstract: A simple linear Boltzmann equation for the calculation of phonon-limited thermal conductivity of normal metals has been obtained. It has been solved with the generalized relaxation time approximation. At high temperature, it gives the Wiedemann-Franz law. At low temperature, it gives a Tz dependence for the thermal resistivity.
