    Abstract: The effects on critical temperature and the energy gap parameter of superconductors due to.a two-fold degenerate electronic band is studied by using the BCS mean field approximation. The investigation is carried out for different filljngs of the e,-band. It is found that the critical temperature and the energy gap for the superconductivity are-reduced in comparison with the half filled case. The modification of the energy splitting of these levels is also considered.
