The effect of collective pinning due to the random distribution of weak pinning centres on vortex-pair production has been calculated for superconducting films in temperature below the Berezinsky–Kosterlitz–Thouless transition. The nonlinear flux-flow resistivity, in the presence of perpendicular magnetic field and current, is also discussed. The results are in agreement with the current ones when the pinning is negligible.
