This paper provides a fundamental analysis of definition, features, implementation strategies, and model of OJT and SOJT in corporate environments. Structured on-the-job training is more effective than OJT and represents an alternative application different from the conceptions of general OJT. SOJT is a planned, systematically developed approach to employee training at the workplace. SOJT provides a form of dynamic and job-oriented training programs which en-able learners to learn by doing and working in the work environments. SOJT integrating on-site study and systematic planning may promote traditional OJT functions and effects and will be the future direction of employees' lifelong learning in corporations.
