University instructional resource centers play an important role in promoting better instruction. Depending on each universitys' specific needs, however, instructional resource centers carry out different functions at different stages. The purpose of this article is to describe the function of the Instructional Technology Center at Tamkang University, Faculty training, courseware production, media service, distance learning, research and development, and learning environment design are discussed in detail.
