    Title: Application of the guidelines of user interface design for Chinese instructional multimedia programs

    Abstract: 在科技進步迅速的今日,一個學習者若要運用
    電腦軟體來學習,首先要面對的便是他是否暸
    解且會用電腦所提供的介面(如何學習的工
    具) ,雖然適當的使用者介面設計並不能保証學
    習效果良好,然而不良的介面設計將令使用者
    十分沮喪。因此介面設計對於多媒體軟體的學
    習式搜尋資料實在是非常重要。本研究計
    劃首先彙整分析使用者介面設計之相關文獻,以
    歸納介面設計評估要項其次選擇出三個中文多
    媒體軟體依設計原則進行分析與評估。評估軟
    體後訪問軟體設計者暸解其原始設計過程及理
    念並分析個軟體之設計與製作流程。研究方法
    是運用文獻分析、訪問設計者、與軟體評估等
    方式彙整使用者介面設計之資料,以發展出現階
    段中文多媒體軟體螢幕設計與使用者介面設計
    的具體設計原則供國人參考研究結果顯示目前
    多媒體電腦教學軟體在媒體配合主現方面表現
    合宜,然多數之軟體設計者未受過軟體界面之訓
    練,對於介面設計多沒有理論基礎。介面設計方
    面最大的問題乃在於軟體內容組織架構令使用
    者困惑,此外多媒體官司多未規劃各階段評估於
    其軟體開發過程中。
    The purpose of this study was to draw together
    interface design guidelines from a variety of
    sources. The study attempted to examine by
    formal research the knowledge that practlsmg
    designers have accumulated in regards to designing
    computer user interface and using the guidelines
    that exist in the literature about interface design
    from instructional multimedia programs which was
    examined for design guidelines.
    Three Chinese interactive multimedia programs
    were examined to see what' interface design
    elements were used and how they were
    implemented in relation to current computer
    technology. Current designers of multimedia
    programs were interviewed to examine how they
    integrate interface design into interactive
    multimedia programs. By using qualitative
    methods such as expert review and interview, this
    study attempted to develop user interface design
    guidelines for Chinese multimedia designers.
