    Abstract: 本文是以一個臺灣密宗團體的九十二名信眾訪談資料，來了解臺灣密宗信眾心目中所追求的信仰特質。本研究主要發現如下：（一）32％受訪者在皈依此團體之前曾是顯教徒；42％受訪者皈依此團體的動機是為了求取具體的世俗目標；（二）受訪者所看重的教義為：不用出家也能成佛；不像顯教須經多世苦修，密宗有傳承加持可這一世成就；在修了生脫死的同時，密法可滿足現世的願望；藉由上師修法或自己修法消業障，可快速改善健康和生活上的問題。
