    Abstract: A new series of octahedral iron(II) complexs with the composition Fe(II) (N-R-2-pyridinaldimine)/sub 2/(NCS)/sub 2/, where R=cyclopropyl, cyclobutyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, cycloheptyl, and cyclooctyl, have been synthesized and the spin states of iron atom have been studied by means of Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurement.
