The homologue conducting salts, 1,n-bis[1-(4-ethyl-pyridinio)]-alkane-(TCNQ)m, where n=2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, exhibited the highest conductivity, 1 S/cm, for the butyl and pentyl derivatives (compressed pellets, four-probe method, in the temperature range 235–310 K). The electronic and infrared absorption spectra were informative for evaluating the conductivity of the corresponding salts.
