In this study, we developed a prototype of Executive Information System (EIS) based on
Accounting to find out the possible problems during the EIS development. After the system
had been developed, we demonstrated the prototype to executives to coUect their opinions
about the system. During the period of system development, we found that the executive's
requirements were hard to determine; and that the screen design can be quickly accomplished by using development tools. After analyzing the data of questionnaires, we found that EIS was a necessary and potential field to develop, the budgets that executives
would like to invest were less, and the most important information that executives need was
    financial information.
