供應商管理存貨(VMI)是目前企業提昇組織之間供應鏈效率的主要討論議題之一。由於供應鏈成員之間彼此互動與相互合作的機會雖有增加,但因互信不足,資訊無法充分分享,產生了許多問題。本研究透過深度訪談VMI相關的專業人士,瞭解目前企業與上下游廠商如何推動VMI管理的機制,以及為何無法落實的原因,並就如何有效地運用資訊科技以創造利潤及競爭優勢。透過本研究讓管理當局能更清楚掌握VMI的實施要項,及評估企業實施VMI階段性效果之檢討。其次,瞭解「資訊科技」在VMI的運用廣度外,亦有助於業界在面對傳統作業模式改變,可以有較合理的因應方式。最後,藉由績效指標衡量以及早反映出問題缺失,與預測所能獲得的效益。 Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) is one of the most widely discussed initiatives for improving multi-firm supply chain efficiency. But due to the lack of trust between partners, information sharing is still at a fledging stage. This caused many problems in the real world. In order to understand various existing problems on how to implement VMI system in the supply chain and how to efficiently utilize IT for VMI to increase profitability and competitive strength, the study used open-end questionnaires to gather the qualitative information from many field professionals. The results provide managers a clear picture of how to manage VMI system, give advice on how to reasonably utilize IT for VMI, advise managers how to evaluate VMI performance or give warning for making correction for possible failures.
