Abstract:	黃燈介於綠燈與紅燈之間,作為駕駛者因應號誌轉換之時間。因此,必須能夠提供足夠之時間給予駕駛者,用以決定通過路口或繼續前進。然而,此段時間不宜過短或太長,以確保行車之安全。因此,本研究擬將「猶豫區間」與清道時間之關係釐清,並利用電腦視覺技術所得到之交通參數「猶豫區間」做為決定此段時間之依據,而提出所謂的「變動清道時間」的控制方法,以增進行車之安全,減少肇事。本研究以攝錄放影機在路口拍攝車流狀況錄影帶,然後在實驗室中求得車輛在路口遇到黃燈時之行為。利用「猶豫區間」決定之方法,求取車輛在遇到黃燈時其「猶豫區間」之範圍,最後依此結果,決定黃燈時間是否延長或終止。也因此而產生「變動清道時間」,以做為整體視覺號誌控制之一部分。
