    Abstract: 21 century is known as the knowledge-based economies century, Taiwan government industry policy is to lead industry to knowledge-based economies oriented. IC(Integrated Circuit) design industries are characterized as its short product life cycle, rapidly in product development process and innovation in process and product technology, especially emphasized on innovation thoughts and knowledge which are embedded in the human capital of the firm employees. To make researches on the relationship among R&D intensity, technology development level, type of application product to firm performance of Taiwan consumer IC design industry will provide some contribution to find out how those factors influence the consumer IC design industry firm performance and give some suggestions to manager to put firm resources on proper direction.
    This research focuses on Taiwan consumer IC design industry and objectives of this study are as follows:!. To find out the correlation between R&D intensity and firm's performance. 2. To find out the correlation between technology development level and firm performance. 3. To find out whether application product interfere R&D intensity, technology development level and firm performance. 5. To give some recommendations for firms to improve their corporate performance either by increase sales revenue or net profit and return on asset.
    This research analysis 8 Taiwan consumer IC design houses, the results of this study are as follows: .R&D intensity rate do not directly impact firm performance. 2. Technology development level do not directly impact firm performance. 3. R&D
    intensity with different type of application product impact firm performance.4. Technology development level with different type of application product partially impact firm performance.
