摘要: Two hundred and nine completed projects from across the US have each been assessed for the levels of technology employed on 68 different common project work functions (WFs). In addition, the projects have been assessed for the levels of overall project cost- and schedule-performance attained. This paper reports on the details and findings of this study. Specifically, project technology usage findings are presented and analyzed according to project size. In addition, project technology findings are presented by project phase and work function – both task automation-type work functions and integration-link work functions. Composite project success (a combination of project cost and schedule success) findings are also presented and relationships with technology usage are discussed. The results of this study indicate that the project success-technology relationships for medium and small projects are stronger than those for large projects. For medium and small projects, levels of project technology usage are positively associated with projects’ levels of composite success.
