    Abstract: 在今日, 企業使用資訊科技已經被視為是提高組織競爭力的一項利器; 然而資訊科技會對組織帶來何種影響至今尚不清楚, 所以本研究將探討企業使用資訊科技後對組織的影響, 特別是對中階管理者的角色以及地位的影響。找出資訊科技影響組織的理論架構是本研究的重點。 本研究經過文獻探討後, 選取研究變數, 形成研究架構; 依據中華徵信所對台灣大型民營企業的排行名單做問卷郵寄, 總共寄出 488份問卷, 回收144份, 回收率29.5%。研究結果顯示資訊科技對於中階管理者的溝通型態、決策制定、工作內容的影響大多是正面的,其中以溝通型態的改變對組織結構的影響最顯著; 而在組織續效方面, 當組織結構的改變趨向分權化和專業化程度提高、正式化程度降低時, 對組織生產力和管理者在資訊系統的滿意度上才有正面影響。
    Nowadays, for most organizations, the use of information technology has been considered as means to gain organizational competitive advantage. However, the effects of information technology on organizations are still unclear. Thus, this research investigates the impacts of information technology on organizations, particular on middle managers' roles and positions after organizations adopt information technology. This research aims at contributing to the search of a theory of the effects of information technology on organizations. This study began with a literature review, Then, research variables were selected and research framework was formed. Organizations selected for this study were based on the ranking by China Credit Information Services Ltd.. 488 questionnaires were mailed to middle managers within the selected organizations. 144 questionnaires were returned., resulted in a 29.5% response rate. The statistical analysis shows that positive impacts of information technology exist on communication pattern, decision making, and job content. The most significant impacts are the change of communication pattern resulting in the change of organizational structure, Another significance findings is that, when organizational structure is more decentralized, more specialized, and less formalized, there are positive impacts of information technology on organizational productivity and user information satisfaction.
