This paper focuses the fracture mechanism between Shinhau, Tzuoojenn and Chukou faults based on the fracture mechanics theory and experimental testing. The Hsinhua fault is concluded as a shear fracture and Tzuoojenn fault is a tensile fracture of Chukou fault under shearing. The Hsinhua fault is more active than Tzuoojenn fault.
