Ill his History of Chinese Philosophy, Prof, Sze-kwang Lao maintains that the "fundamental-question method" &.& K-Wt.-fk is the best approach to the history of Chinese philosophy. The "fundamental-question method" consists of two parts: one is a synthesis of genetic, systematic, and analytic method, and the other includes fundamental-questions and postulates. But Lao offers no practical methodology for locating the fundamental questions and postulates or for legitimizing those postulates ,This is the major problematic of his "fundamental-question method".
