Abstract:	唐宋古文八大家之首的韓愈(768-824)，有「文章巨公」及「百代文宗」之稱。他提出道統傳承的說法，認為聖人之道在孟子之後失傳，這樣的想法也影響日後宋明理學的道統說。元豐元年(1078)，宋神宗追封韓愈為昌黎伯，並以其對儒學發展厥有貢獻，於元豐七年(1084)准其從祀孔廟。在屏東內埔鄉的昌黎祠則是臺灣唯一主祀韓愈的廟宇，建於清嘉慶八(1803)，曾為文教中心。由於韓愈被貶為潮州刺史時，廣置學堂，推行教育，客家移民來臺後，為感念其人恩德，因此設廟祭祀。至今仍有許多考生前往祈求，甚至還有金榜符及文化祭等相關活動。今觀列於孔廟「先儒」中的韓愈，定位為傳道之儒，至於昌黎祠中的韓愈則經由神化，比而觀之，則能一窺韓愈人∕神形象。
