This paper is to investigate the flexural stiffness of the fire damaged R.C. beams.
In frame structure analysis, the flexural stiffness is one of the most important parameters. The previous papers showed that the flexural stiffness of R.C. beam after fire damage has obvious degradation.
In this paper, the flexural stiffness at the end part and in the middle part of the fire damaged R.C. beams are investigated by using the model of simply supported beam subjected to positive moment and negative moment. The reductions of the residual flexural stiffness of beam members after fire damaged are also investigated. The tables for simple estimation of the flexural stiffness of fire damaged R.C. beams are established in advance. These tables can be adopted to analyze the residual safety of R.C. structures after fire damaged.
