This study investigates the discouraged attitudes and discouraged worker effects under social inequality for individuals. The topics of equality and justice have been widely discussed in recent years. The Taiwan Social Change Survey reported that more and more people do not agree with "making an effort to succeed," and most of them believe that family background is important and feel that it is more difficult to succeed in the future. How significant is the impact of social inequality on the market? We still require more empirical analysis in order to fully answer this question. This study is adopted from the Taiwan Social Change Survey and Human Resources Survey to observe the degree of discouraged economic attitudes and discouraged worker effects. Furthermore, by using a two-sample-two-stage instrumental variable method, we integrated these two databases to explore the impact of inequality on attitudes. In turn; we examined the discouraged worker effects which resulted in an underestimated unemployment rate. This study will supplement the insufficiencies of the existing literature and provide some implications. 本文探討社會不公平對個人經濟態度的影響與沮喪勞工效應。公平正義是近年來被正 視與討論的議題，台灣社會變遷基本調查資料顯示當前社會對「努力就會成功」的認 同度下降，且認為家庭背景愈來愈重要，而有更多的人認為未來難以出人頭地。但社 會不公平究竟造成多大的市場影響，尚還需要更多的實證研究。因此本文利用台灣社 會變遷基本調查與人力資源調查兩個資料庫進行分析。利用社會變遷調查觀察經濟態 度的沮喪程度，利用人力資源調查分析造成失業率低估的沮喪勞工效應，並且進一步 利用雙樣本兩階段工具變數法將兩個資料庫進行整合估計，探討社會不公平對經濟態 度的影響，以及對沮喪勞工效應的影響。本研究除了觀察社會不公平的影響，也欲在 研究中找出勞動市場的新觀察與政策建議。
