The presented article is devoted to distance education in a pandemic. This article also examines the issues and difficulties arising in the development and use of new "digital" methods of work, as well as the behavioral practices of Taiwanese and Russian students in the context of forced online education. Particular attention in the article is paid to the issues of student mobility, the development of empathy and reflection, as well as the development of a certain style of distant communication. The disadvantages of distance learning are highlighted. Distance education is theoretically defined as one of the ways to respond to this situation. As a final conclusion, it is proposed to use the active interaction of different forms of education as a reflective learning platform.
