Chinese immigrated to Malaysia, all dialectic groups brought their native food culture into the country, inherited and rooted in Malaysia and became an important part of the country's food culture. At the same time, with the lapse of time, in the process of adapting to the special geographical environment and multicultural environment of Malaysia, the Chinese make creative use of local food ingredients, and under the wave of globalization, they learn from and absorb the multi-ethnic cooking methods and food customs, Chinese food culture also keeps innovating and enriching, and finally formed the unique and diversified Malaysian Chinese food culture. This paper makes an intensive exploration of the overseas inheritance and local innovation of this food culture to the multi-ethnic food and cooking customs of Malaysian Chinese. This paper tries to traces the diverse background of its formation, presents the real overall picture of its inheritance, rooting out the social and cultural reasons of its local innovation, and displays its local characteristics and development.
