    Abstract: 墨西哥與歐盟於1997年完成雙邊自由貿易協定談判,於2000年生效。2016年5月針對新雙邊自由貿易協定 (New Free Trade Agreement,以下簡稱新協定) 展開談判,2018年4月21日,歐盟和墨西哥初步達成新協定的共識,同時擴增自1997年簽訂貿易協定的範圍,由於部分技術問題尚待解決,於2020年4月達成全面共識。
    歐盟執委會主席范德賴恩 (Ursula von der Leyen) ,於2020年5月27日通過因應新冠肺炎 (COVID-19) 疫情,歐盟下一步:「歐盟振興方案 (EU Recovery Plan)」,旨在減輕疫情造成的損害,並繼續投資建立綠色、數位化、更具彈性且團結的歐盟。
    The EU and Mexico started the negotiations for this new, modernized agreement in May 2016. They reached an agreement in principle two years later, in April 2018, leaving for further discussion on some outstanding technical issues. Those are on 28th April 2020 fully agreed.
    On 27th May 2020, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen approved EU's next step in response to the COVID-19,” EU Recovery Plan”, which aims to mitigate the damage caused by COVID-19 and continue to invest in the establishment of a green, digital and friendly environment and more resilient of EU.
    The column of the scholar, we invite Director of the European Union Research Center, Professor Li-Juan Chen from Institute of European Studies at Tamkang University to write the article "The Current Situation of Anti-Epidemic Measures against COVID-19 in EU" to discuss how EU fights against the outbreak of COVID-19 and the follow-up measures.
    The column of the reader who wrote by Li Yun-Jie from the Master of the Graduate Institute of European Studies at Tamkang University to shares the research of "The Study of Diplomatic Security Measures of Small-Medium-sized Countries: The Case of Belgium.
