    Abstract: Lors de sa correspondance avec Leibniz, le Jésuite Joachim Bouvet a établi une analogie entre l’arithmétique binaire du philosophe et le Xiantiantu de Shao Yong, un diagramme organisant les 64 hexagrammes. Mais cette analogie a soulevé des questions, voire des controverses. Si les deux systèmes sont analogues, le Xiantiantu pourrait en effet être considéré comme binaire voire mathématique, et cela a des implications dans l'histoire de l'arithmétique binaire, ou plus largement, dans l'histoire de la logique. C'est pourquoi certains chercheurs soutiennent que Leibniz a développé l'arithmétique binaire en étant influencé par le Xiantiantu, ce qui s’oppose à la chronologie habituelle des faits historiques. Ce livre tente d’éclaircir et d’analyser ces problèmes en proposant des thèses innovantes.
    During his correspondence with Leibniz, the Jesuit Joachim Bouvet established an analogy between the binary arithmetic of the philosopher and the Xiantiantu of Shao Yong, a diagram organising the 64 hexagrams. But this analogy raised questions, even controversies. If the two systems are analogues, then it indicates that the Xiantiantu could be considered as binary even mathematical, and this has implications in the history of binary arithmetic, or more broadly, in the history of logic. This is why some scholars also argue that Leibniz developed binary arithmetic by being influenced by the Xiantiantu, which is opposed to the usual chronology of the historical facts. This book attempts to clarify and analyse these issues by proposing innovative thesis.
