Integration of cost and schedule has been an issue of great concern for researchers and practitioners in the construction industry. However, the proper design and development of an automated solution that would support the needs of integrated cost and schedule control and acquire and store quality data in a timely manner has been lacking.

To solve this problem, this research investigated the relations between the structure of BIM elements, cost items and scheduling activities, and then proposes a model to integrate BIM elements, cost items and scheduling activities. With the proposed model the time needed for integration of BIM elements, cost items and scheduling activities have been greatly reduced.
