    Abstract: 九十年代初期,中國管理諮詢顧問業開始進入起步發展階段,管理諮詢是典型的知識產業,但仍處在初級發展階段,隨著大陸市場經濟的日趨完善,市場競爭日趨激烈,台灣及國外管理諮詢公司大批進入中國市場,中國的管理諮詢業也足漸起步發展,經過數十年快速發展,從此宣告進入專業化發展階段。
    相關研究者指出,台商前往中國進行創業活動並不一定每個人都會成功,創業要考慮的因素很多,Mcrae(1998)認為,中小企業創業成功的關鍵因素在於如何採取彈性的經營策略,以因應快速變遷的市場需求。Ibrahim & Goodwin(1986)則強調創業者的人格特質、管理技巧、人際關係及環境因素是小企業成功最重要的因素。創業者必須能夠把握時機來開創新的局面,所謂時勢造英雄,即是對趨勢敏感並能做正確判斷的人才能有所作為 (鄭美玲,2001)。
    因此本研究主要是利用創業者的創業動機、創業人格特質、創業策略、及創業績效等構面導出命題並提供現行者及未來想去中國創業的創業者做創業的參考。
    本研究對象以兩岸管理顧問業的二位領航者為訪談對象,並針對創業動機、創業人格特質、創業策略與創業績效的關係做深入訪談、資料彙整並導出十六個命題,列舉如:1.個案中創業者不必然自小就有創業動機。2.個案中創業者之必然有風險取向的人格特質。3.個案中創業者採用之創業策略與其性格有關。4.個案中面對資訊普及與顧客導向的趨勢,創業者將面對更「紅海」的競爭壓力等命題倒出提供後續研究者可以做進一步探討。
    In the early 1990s, the development of China''s management consultancy industry enter into preliminary step. Management consulting is a typical knowledge industry, but it is still in the preliminary stage. With the improving market economy and the increasing competition in the market, Taiwan and other management consultancy industry countries massively enters into China’s market. Through past decade rapid development, the management consulting industry became to the professional step.
    Relevant studies indicate not every entrepreneurial activities from Taiwan to China could be succeed which must consider various effects. In Marae’s (1998) opinion, the critical factor of SMBs success is flexible management strategy application to match the rapid moving of market requirement.
    Ibrahim & Goodwin (1986) emphasized the entrepreneur’ personalities, management skills, relationships and environmental factors are the important successful factors. Entrepreneurs must take an opportunity to create new situations. Mei Ling Zheng (2001) said that some achieve greatness, and some have greatness. People who have sensitivities with the trend can truly make differences.
    Therefore, the study will atilize the entrepreneur’s motives, personality traits, strategies, performance and so on, to derive the proposition and provide a reference for the current and future businessmen who would like to own a business in China.
    The object of study points at Mainland China and Taiwan managing industry’s interview. Motives, personalities, strategies and the results are the main points which focus on start businesses and derive sixteen propositions. For instance: first, not all of entrepreneurs have motive as a child in cases. Second, entrepreneurs have the personality of risk assessment necessarily. Third, the strategy that entrepreneur adopted is related with his or her personality. Fourth, focus on the trend of increasing information and customer orientation, entrepreneurs will have more pressure called” Red Ocean”, etc. These derive propositions provide researchers do further research and discussion.
