This is a comparative study between two countries, Panama and Singapore from the perspective of human development. Analyzing the similarities and differences between both countries, I have been able to make a comparative model using some of the measures of human development such as life expectancy, knowledge and quality of life. Considering Singapore as a role model for Panama, I have taken the keys to the success of Singapore to adapt them to the needs of Panama. Suggesting recommendations and reforms necessary to be able to carry it out. The result has been the commitment that the State and society must take to drive these reforms and achieve a successful level of human development, such as Singapore. However, there are particularities in the political systems of both countries that makes the applicability of such measures as a key element in the implementation of such improvements. However, there is hope in achieving the objectives to enable society to enjoy the basic needs and a standard of living of an open, plural and progressive nation.
