    Abstract: 〈礼运〉有言:「夫礼之初,始诸饮食」,最初的祭祀起源于向神灵献食,即能传达祈愿与敬意。在先秦的祭祀活动中,血被视为具有某种巫术功能,它可以充当通天达地的法器,古代牺牲经现场屠杀,直接以血肉相荐;汉代之后,血祭则为维持国祚的基本措施。朱子编定《家礼》参酌时俗,因时制宜,于祭祀特别关注,且维持血祭传统。然而,在重构血祭传统的过程中,则面临了「士内涵的转变」、「佛道戒杀的影响」、「推及庶人的礼仪规范」等问题。明代之后,透过《朱子家礼》的礼典化,儒家祭祖的礼仪规范也得以在民间有效推广。
