    Abstract: 本章「社會化」就是要介紹「社會」（涵蓋家庭、學校和其他大小社會團體等）如何形塑個人態度和行為的過程。本章首先說明「社會化」的概念，並且介紹社會化的幾個重要來源，包括家庭、學校、大眾傳播媒體、工作場所等。本章還會簡要地介紹社會化有維持整個社會體系運作和文化延續的正面設會功能，以及社會化所可能帶來的負面影響，負面的自我概念和對其他社會團體的刻板印象。結語部份將指出，個人在社會化過程中，並非完全被動地接受外在環境的安排，而仍擁有某種程度的自由空間，讓個人去反思，而調整他的態度和行為，甚至改變不合宜的社會習俗和規範，以營造其幸福生活。
