The failure in the negotiations of the Doha Round in the WTO, and the financial economic crisis raised from 2008, produced new integration scenarios in which countries seek to boost their businesses through new schemes regional association.

The RCEP and the TPP are an example. However, both projects focus in global trade in goods and services and the movement of resources (capital and human).

Therefore, in Asia Pacific are two competing superpowers trying to influence in each area of the international agenda. Meanwhile, ASEAN stands as the center of negotiations of both integration projects in Asia Pacific.

In this situation, the international trade policy makers of Argentina could not set aside the implications of this pendulum between Chinese and US proposal. So they should think about future scenarios that allow maximizing profits for the argentines.

This research collects and analyzes information on the trade economic relations in the Asia Pacific region and the balance of power between China and the US. Also, the case ofSingapore and Vietnam is studied in order to point out how it can be affected Asian region, as the result of those negotiations, and how Argentina can take those experiences for future international strategic status.
