摘要:	此篇論文研究旨在分析中華民國(台灣)與中美洲關係中之政經面，並且比對中國日益增大對於此地理區域的影響。本研究也嘗試比較馬英九總統和陳水扁總統對於邦交國的外交。面對中國無可否認的成長，台灣以改變其融入國際社會的策略，中國經濟的擴張反映在其與拉丁美洲之貿易交流，中美洲也不例外，中國大陸已經成為許多中美洲國家重要的貿易夥伴，且超越了中美洲與台灣之間的商務關係。 This thesis aims to understand and analyze trade, economic and political aspects of the Taiwanese relationship with Central America, and compare them with the growing Chinese presence and influence in that geographic area. It also attempts to make a comparison between the diplomacy toward allied countries pursued by presidents Chen Shui-bian and Ma Ying-jeou. Taiwan has had to cope patiently with China’s rise. The expansion of the Chinese economy is reflected in an increased trade exchange with Latin America. Central America has not been an exception. China has become a major trade partner for several Central American economies, surpassing commerce ties between them and Taiwan.
