In Taiwan, part of visual impairment are cause by disease or injury. Most of them do not study in a special-education school when they are young. Therefore, they need to study Braille reading and typing after blind. To help these visual impairment in Taiwan, we designs a learning aid to shorten the time for visual impairment to study Braille typing. The aid composes with a learning pair gloves and a teaching app operating on a tablet PC. For a single glove, three vibrating motors are set at finger and controlled by a micro-controller. To study Braille typing, the visual impairment first puts on the gloves; then the developed teaching app output the voice message and controls the vibrating states of motors corresponding to teaching materials. According the field trials, we find the proposed aid can help visual impairment to study Braille typing and shorten the time of learning.
