    摘要: 台灣常見的巷弄空間,主要的建築類型為四至五層的公寓住宅,其外觀立面大多有著像籠子般的鐵窗,壟罩著陽台空間,同時滿足安全性及空間擴張的需求。經過時間的累積,鐵窗加建變成台灣住宅建築的一種特殊文化,在此不討論其加建行為的合法性,僅討論其空間使用與立面造型之間的中介空間融合,探討空間、結構與立面造型之間的可能性。本研究希望藉由討論區隔空間之牆體基模,解構牆體基模中之元素,重新定義牆體空間的多元性,試圖將基模中之元素與欲加入的單元空間重新組構,使牆體空間增加使用機能並同時塑造立面造型。
    「聚合」以小元件聚集形成大的物件,除了元件本身的構造強度外,將元件結合產生更高的強度與結構上的許多可能性,這樣的想與做法可能在缺乏大型物料的未來預計會是一種必須的發展趨勢之一。所以本研究以建築最基本的一種元素-磚,做為牆體設計的主要基礎單元,藉由磚的排列組合在牆上形成空間,產生視覺穿透並產生的空間;引入如陽光、風、水或植物等自然的元素,增加人與自然接觸的機會,使存在於我們生活周遭的中介空間自然成為人與自然溝通交流的介面。
    本研究設計分為二階段,第一階段為基本牆體空間及牆體設計,利用磚的堆疊,使牆在牆邊與牆內形塑出空間,並加入旋轉及彎曲手法,改變牆的垂直面向的空間感;第二階段將前一階段設計之牆體應用於陽台立面並使用於建築立面設計上,讓牆體空間回應建築空間,讓牆體空間擴散使用至整體立面上,產生立面造型。設計初期考量構築材料與建築的關係,所以採用磚塊做為主要材料,多數磚塊外型皆為長條矩形,所以在設計時的造型顯示出來的效果都是矩形塊體,但在使用旋轉堆疊手法堆疊時,因為凹凸角的視錯覺,讓表面紋理產生變化,開始有了不穩定的視覺感,產生動態效果,未來可使用在需要視覺焦點的室內外空間。在出挑牆體的設計中將單元放大,加入機能與活動行為,成為另一種空間形式;如果將此空間形式加入材料轉換成單元如金屬箱、框等具體的單元,就可以發展成其他形式的堆疊,產生更多堆疊的可能性。
    設計過程中,曾經想加入植物做為融合自然的主要自然元素,但是在設計思考的過程中,發現讓建築融合自然似乎不是一件理所當然的事情,因為大多植物與建築接觸的介面只是我們所提供給植物的人造容器,或許可以在引導植物接觸的介面上使用自然的原始素材,如土磚,使植物真的生長在我們的結構體之中。另外,如果想創造可穩定堆疊的不穩定感,在設計階段使用參數化設計輔助計算,應能設計出各種形式的堆疊,再加上不同形式的單元,應該可以變化出相同手法但不同形式的堆疊。
    The main architectural type of normal alley space in Taiwan is apartment with 4-5 floors. The appearance façades most have an iron window like a cage, covering the space of the balcony and meeting demands for safety and space extension. Through accumulation of time, iron window structure becomes a special culture of Taiwan architecture. This paper does not consider its legality, only discusses intermediary space integration between utilization and façade modeling, as well as possibility of space, structure and façade modeling. The research expects to decompose elements of wall and redefine diversity of wall space through discussion on schema of wall in segmentation space, try to reconstruct elements of schema and units to be added, to add using function to wall space and shape façade modeling.
    Aggregation composes small elements to form big object. Except structure strength of elements, the idea of combining elements to generate higher strength and many possibilities of structure may be one of necessary development trends in the future when large materials are lacked. Therefore, the research takes the most basic element in architecture-brick as the main basic element in wall design. Space of permutation and combination of bricks on wall generates visual penetration and space. Natural elements such as sunshine, wind, water or plant are introduced to increase opportunity for human to contact with nature, to make the intermediary space in our life naturally become the communication medium between human and nature.
    The research design includes two stages. The first stage is basic wall space and design. It utilizes pileup of bricks to make wall shape space on edge and inside, what’s more, it adds rotation and bending to change sense of space of vertical face of wall. The second stage applies the wall designed in the above stage into balcony façade and uses it for building façade design, to make wall space response to building space, and make wall space extend to overall façade, to generate façade modeling. In the initial phase of design, considering the relation between building material and architecture, it adopts bricks as main material. Appearance of most bricks is rectangular, thus modeling in design shows rectangular blocks. However, when rotation and pileup are added, visual illusion of concave-convex angles makes surface texture change, to bring unstable visual sense and generate dynamic effect. It can be used for indoor and outdoor space needing visual focus in the future. In the design of selecting wall initially, it amplifies units and adds function and activity behavior, to become another kind of space form. If the space form is added with material to convert to concrete units such as metal box and metal frame, it can develop to pileup in other forms and generate high possibility of pileup.
    In design process, we have thought of adding plant as main natural elements integrating nature, but we find that it seems not a matter of course to integrate building with nature because most media between plant and building are man-made vessel provided for plant by us. Maybe we can use natural original materials as the medium introducing contact of plant, such as brick, to make plant really live our structure. Besides, to create unstable sense capable of stable pileup, we use parametric modeling in design phase, to design pileup in various forms. With various units, pileup in the same method and different forms can be generated.
