Superhero has always been an important part of the American popular culture, and a integral part in the history of the American war and politics since Superman first appeared.The author chose Captain America and Iron Man for analyze since these two are full of political metaphor and have an intense relationship that allow to uncover the ideological hegemony process inherent in the superhero against each other context through textual analysis.
This reserch analyzed eight movie content and found out that these movies provide an approach to understand terrorism. It also shows how mainstream ideologies conflict with each other in the movie narrative of “ hero against hero”.These contents provide a frame to discussing not only justice but also the possibility of the hero’s existence.
