高等教育擴張使女性教育機會與就業機會大幅提升，反映社會普遍認同女性工作能力。然而有文獻發現女性在職場雖然已經能與男性相抗衡，但在家庭中的角色定位仍然傳統。本文運用「台灣社會變遷調查」的1996年、2001年、2006年「家庭組」串聯資料，以台灣經歷高等教育擴張作為觀察，探討女性家庭角色的轉變，包括「性別分工」、「工作影響子女」、「工作妨礙家庭」、「工作的重要性」與「工作的經濟獨立性」五個項目。利用一般最小平方法、Difference-in-Difference模型迴歸、以及考慮就業自我選擇偏誤兩階段模型進行分析。實證結果發現，年輕世代在性別分工觀念已經逐漸打破過去男主外女主內的思維，而已婚且有工作的年輕世代女性對於工作會造成對子女還有家庭的影響的不認同度較高，但即使如此，多數的樣本仍然認為女性就業仍然是非必要。因此高等教育擴張促進性別平等觀念的普及，但要改變已婚女性家庭角色的傳統觀念仍需要更多的時間。 Higher education expansion increased the opportunities of education and employment for women. However, some research found that even women can compete with men in the labor market, their family role was still traditional. This study adopted Taiwan Social Change Survey’s family linked data to investigate the role of women transition after Taiwan’s higher education expansion since 1994. We use OLS, Difference-in-Difference regressions, and Heckman two-stage regression models to exam the effects of higher education expansion on the family role of women. Our empirical results showed that although the younger generations were fewer traditional than the older generations, the younger generations still considered that employment was not so necessary for women.
