Abstract:	In 2011 the US president Obama announced the rebalancing strategy, which also is termed "Pivot to Asia". This move aimed to maintain its influence in Asia and enhance the allies` consent toward the US leadership in the region through the diplomatic security and the economic and military strategic arrangement. He also posed the concept of "AirSea Battle" to develop the cooperative engagement capability by integrating its air and sea forces` resource, surveillance, reconnaissance, and command systems. Explicitly, the US is responding to China`s A2/AD capability and aims to maintain the US open access to maritime commons. At the same time, this US new military strategy is noticeably affecting the military strategic environment surrounding Taiwan. Though it is not the ally of the US, due to its geopolitical position and special relations with the US, Taiwan seems to contribute to the US new military strategy in order to secure its security.
