Abstract:	Scholarly discussion on environmental justice has long been focused on distributive and procedural perspective. However, when we look into the case study of politics of nuclear energy and nuclear waste, procedural injustice and distributive injustice are often situated within more general injustices issues. This paper would present the notions of economic, political and culture justice in the context of environmental justice. This theoretical framework would be employed to discuss the policy development and civil activism in nuclear energy in Taiwan and Japan. The purpose of the paper is to address the issues economic, political and culture justice in the decision-making process on nuclear energy policy in Taiwan and Japan in post Fukushima era. With this regards, this paper would conclude with the discussion about how Taiwan and Japan go towards different attitude on nuclear energy after the Fukushima disaster.
