Abstract:	本文以「個人能力」與「傳統之價值」來討論《荀子》道德規範的性質，期望能藉此分析凸顯《荀子》哲學中某種與道德密切相關之天生能力的可能性與重要性。《荀子》中的「義」在不同脈絡可能有「規範」與「某種與道德密切相關之能力」兩種意義。若僅採前者，則傾向以「傳統之價值」來為道德規範定性；若也包含後者，則道德規範的性質則可能兼重「個人能力」與「傳統之價值」。本文的討論包括義理詮釋的爭議和研究路向的取捨，從這兩方面來說明當代學者從不同角度為《荀子》道德規範之性質提出綜合性看法，凸顯某種與道德密切相關之天生能力的可能性與重要性，為《荀子》道德哲學之理論重構作準備。
