Abstract:	本研究以美國上市ICT 產業(Information and Communication Technology Industries) 進行探究，運用群集分析以及Hansen (1999) 所提之縱橫門檻模型(panel data threshold model) ，分別觀察在不同的研發支出族群下，產出與研發支出的趨勢變化，以及考慮廠商不同的研發經費投入情況下，檢測是否存在研發支出之門檻值，使得在不同區問其生產效率呈現出不一致的結果。實證結果發現，僅在ICT產業中的硬體與設備產業在研發支出與生產效率之間存在一個顯著的門檻效果，而其餘次產業則無存在顯著門檻效果。但從投入要素係數值皆為正相關的結果來看，說明了美國上市ICT 產業可透過研發支出提高其生產力。另發現在硬體與設備產業中，當廠商投入的研發經費超過門檻值，將會降低其生產效率，此現象符合邊際報酬遞減法則。
