    摘要: Target Tracking issue in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has gained much attention. Network lifetime and tracking accuracy are the important measurements for the target tracking mechanisms. However, most of approaches pursue one at the cost of the other. In some applications, the best tracking accuracy is not necessary to achieve if tracking quality is fixed by application users. This paper proposes a target tracking guaranteed mechanism, which aims to guarantee the user-defined tracking quality while reduce the quantity of working sensors, aiming to improve the energy efficiency. It is demonstrated that the proposed mechanism has high performance in energy efficiency and the tracking quality, compared with the existing work.
