摘要: This study proposed a design for a percussion learning device that combines tablet computers and robots. The proposed learning device comprised two systems: namely, a teaching system, where users could compose
and practice rhythms by using a tablet computer, and a robot rhythm performance system. Educators can use the learning device to compose rhythms for their students to practice. Compared with conventional tools for composing percussion exercises, the proposed learning system enables users to intuitively compose rhythms through a user-friendly interface. In addition, the system can assess the students’ timing during their practice. Moreover, the proposed robot rhythm performance system can play an audio recording of the percussion exercises for students to listen to while learning, thus providing an interactive system for learning and practicing rhythm exercises. The proposed system not only increases students’ interest and efficiency in learning, but it also assists them in comprehending musical rhythm through interaction and composing simple rhythms.
