因此，本研究設計專注在幾個焦點： 一、 制度面的探討及規劃：探討高齡化社會到來之後，新建或改善現存的高齡者居住環境之方法、機制與制度上的可行性。 二、 探討高齡者與青年之間混居的共同住宅方案。 三、 在這樣的基礎之上，發展出一套建築規劃設計方案，並且利用這個方案在兩塊不同土地上發展出有相關性的設計。 The population aging is the most crucial event impending in society of Taiwan. The development of community and medical advance forces aging issues to the surface progressively by the heavy slump of the national average of fertility and mortality rates. Meanwhile, the steep rise in the dependency ratio (the rate of the working population and the dependent population) strengthens an emphatic defeat toward labor force after it reached an all-time low in 2012.
Several arguments impact the urban environment under such circumstances. Now, the elderly who live in deficient housing conditions are in growing numbers. In the meantime, most of the youth populace is facing the predicament of being classified as generation rent while the advancement of the metropolitan region slacken off along with its approach of mature period. It has revealed in the course of the study, that the existing urban housing planning and design methods has gradually lost its navigation along with the change in times; the immoderate privatization and fragmentation in cities has caused the ineffective use of the land; and makes it more critical of housing shortage for senior and junior citizens.
Thus the research of the design emphasis on subjects bellow. First, surveying and programming in the legislation system: to explore the methods, mechanism and institutional feasibility of constructing or renovating present facilities for the forthcoming aging society. Second, to investigate a cohousing scheme which accommodate the elderly and younger generation. Third, an architectural planning and design program got fostered and applied on a relational mutuality process of design on two different sites.
