研究結果發現,無論是政策亦或米食推廣活動,都再次顯示米食在台灣仍有其飲食與文化上的地位,台灣人依舊將米食視為飲食活動中不可或缺的一環,並賦與米食連結人際關係的社會功能,權力的介入凸顯米食在文化活動中所扮演的角色,米食的變形並非是妥協於西方文化,而是強化在地意識,讓台灣的米食文化更能在現代多元的飲食環境中脫穎而出。 Eating is not only fundamental to human survival, but also the foundation of society civilizations, it’s also a way for connecting different groups. In Taiwan, influence by economic and oriental society development, rice is the most important food grain among provisions, there is why power will get involved, and shaping the perception of rice.
The aim of this thesis is to investigate and identify the means about rice to different groups and traditional cultures, I analyzed the paper from government agencies which about rice development and popularize data to know how rice linked to political and economic power.
Rice is the staple food of more than half the world''s population. In order to know how is the rice become the staple food but others foods, I studied the dietetic culture on the evolution of human society through historical literatures. Through these work, we discovered the changed significance of rice culture in Taiwan.
Our studies shown that regardless the policy or promotions of rice, it was demonstrate that the status of rice, more than a food in Taiwan, no matter for eating or culture. Diversification of rice products was not compromise of western culture. In contrast, this cultural conflict make Taiwan’s rice culture more splendid.
