本論文彙整所有經科學發掘或出土的西周有銘銅器，以科學發掘或出土的西周銅器銘文作為討論、分析的素材，按照字數由少到多的層次，將相同字數或同一間距的銘文加以排比，逐條考釋內容，並分析其組成，再予以分類，歸納出不同的類型。最終依西周出土銅器銘文由短至長的組成結構，綜論西周出土銅器銘文的字數分布、主要類型、句型呈現、內容發展等問題。 The materials of my study is all inscriptions of the Western Zhou excavated and unearthed bronzes.I gather and arrange these inscriptions by the same number of words or the same spacing,according to the word from less to more.I explain these inscriptions of the Western Zhou excavated and unearthed bronzes one by one.I analyze the composition of these inscriptions.On the basis of the same composition,generalize the types of these inscriptions. I expound some conclusions about the distribution of the amount of these inscriptions,the composition and types of these inscriptions,the sentence patterns of these inscriptions,etc. This book is divided into five sections：Section One Intrudction,Section Two The culture staging and dating of Western Zhou,Section Three The Western Zhou excavated and unearthed bronzes,Section Four The composition and types of these inscriptions of the Western Zhou excavated and unearthed bronzes,Section Five Conclusion.
