    摘要: 本文藉由探討《人間條件五》劇情的分析與訪談，目的是為描述與發掘台灣嬰兒潮世代的中年男子之自我觀與未來發展。研究假設是:中年男子之價值觀表現在其行為態度上，而其價值觀之形塑源自於自我觀的概念。本文主要是以時代背景之大敘事與研究者個人經驗之小敘事，加上未來學的多層次因果分析法(簡稱CLA)做為研究方法，訪談二個世代與不同性別的人，研究結果顯示台灣嬰兒潮世代的中年男子應分為早期的與末期的人，因為受到「個人傳統心理性」與「個人現代心理性」影響的程度不同，他們對於自我的價值觀，有傾向宿命論的「決定論」與反身性的「目的論」之區別，尤其反映在處理中年危機上。結論提出的從眾，即接受主流的價值觀，並以接納自己來肯定自己，做為新的自我價值觀之建立。
    The aim of this research is to explore the view of self of the baby boomers generations (the middle-aged man) in Taiwan, through the content analysis on the stage play "Human Condition V " and real person interviews. The research hypothesis is that the middle-aged man demonstrates value system through external behavior and attitude derived from the view of self. This research is based on a micro narrative of personal experience and macro narrative of historical background. Causal Layered Analysis (referred CLA) is used as the primary analytical method, plus interviews with two generations of people from both sexes. The findings suggest the baby boomers generation should be categorized into old and young groups. Moreover, under the impact of “ psychological traditionality” and “psychological modernity” their self value perspectives are either in “pre-determinism” or in “teleology” The differences are especially obvious when dealing with mid-life crisis. The conclusion is that they tend to show conformity, in which they follow the mainstream value system then build up their own view of self.
