    Title: 棒球投手投變化球的原理

    Abstract: 馬格納斯效應（magnus effect）是棒球投手能夠投出變化球的主要原因。它是馬格納斯（Gustav Magnus）在1852年發現的，它是指旋轉球在流動空氣中成側偏斜的現象。本研究將變化球分為兩類，一類主要是受到馬格納斯力作用的變化球；另一類則較少，且幾乎沒有。這兩種變化球，由於旋轉角度的變化，又延伸出許多的變化球。本研究共分析八種變化球。以右打者而言，作用力主要朝球上方的，為快速直球（fast ball）和內角上飄球（shoot ball）；作用力主要朝球右下方的，為曲球（curve ball）和滑球（slider）；作用力主要朝球左上方的，為伸卡球（sinker）。而沒有受到馬格納斯力作用的變化球，重力的作用較為明顯，因此球以拋物線的軌跡到達本壘，此種變化球有指叉球（forkball），變速球（changeup），以及指關節球（knuckleball）。
