Abstract:	本研究之主要目的在探討亞太新格局對美中臺關係之影響，兼論美臺因應之道。歐巴馬總統上臺後，從華府的角度來看，國際政經情勢對美國有利有弊。美國外交與安全政策的重心，已從歐洲轉到亞洲。美國經濟的未來在亞洲，而且美國國家利益從現在到未來都與亞洲密不可分。問題是，美國目前經濟陷入困頓期，無法對亞洲挹注資金，只能一方面透過軍事力量的展現，警告崛起的中國不可侵擾四鄰，一方面為亞洲盟國與夥伴國家提供精神上的支撐。在此一新的亞太政經體系下，美中臺關係不再像以前那樣相對單純，反而受到愈來愈多變數的影響。因此，本研究之主旨則為：亞太的新格局會對美中兩國競合關係與美臺非正式聯盟造成相當大的影響，而我國則首當其衝，有必要與美國國家利益結合，作為肆應。
