This project involves the optimal design of pipeline natural gas associated from an integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plant. The design capacity will be set at 10,000 kg/hr pipeline natural gas. IGCC is the most advanced technology for generating electricity from coal cleanly. This project will include coal crushing and screening, gasification, syngas production, chemical shift reaction, methanation, power generation and the main streams connecting these units. IGCC is a multi-generation plant, not only electricity but also clean fuel and high-value chemicals can be produced. This project will find its applications in (1) coal utilization, (2) clean coal technology, and (3) policy planning on the green energy/energy security.
