    摘要: 在本篇論文中,我們設計並製作出磁性浮球式光纖液位感測器,這類型光纖液位感測器非常適合建構於光纖網路中,用於監測液位高度。
    所提出的液位監測系統是由光時域反射儀(Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer, OTDR)和光纖液位感測器所組成;它使用OTDR作為遠端測量儀器,並在光纖線路上設置光纖液位感測器。平時光纖液位感測器在感測處具有一極低的光插入損耗,但當液位到達感測器端的位置時,OTDR上可以觀察到一較高光纖損耗,其中感測器因磁性浮球組緊緊相吸在一起而引入較大的光彎曲損耗。
    本系統具備即時遠端監測之功能,且光纖液位感測器具有成本低、結構簡單、輕巧且可重複使用等優點。
    In this thesis, the fiber-optic liquid-level sensors based on magnetic float have been designed and made, which are very suitable for deploying in fiber-optic networks used to monitor the liquid level.
    The proposed liquid-level monitoring system mainly consists of an optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) and fiber-optic liquid-level sensors set on an optical fiber, where the OTDR is a remote monitoring instrument. Normally, the sensor at the sensing location has an extremely low optical insertion loss. However, the high optical loss observed on the OTDR is while the sensor detects the liquid level reaching the alert liquid level, where the sensor at the state of the magnetic float pair tightly attracted presents a high optical bending loss.
    This system possesses the function of real-time remote monitoring, and these proposed fiber-optic sensors have the advantages of low cost, simple structure, light weight and reuse.
